The most beautiful pic of Marilyn Monroe I’ve seen. I finished her bio. Was it good? Yes . Was it heartbreaking ? Yes. We know she dies, but just to see so many people try to help and get lost in the circus that was Marilyn is just sad. It seems like nobody gave her that tough love she needed, they either ignored her or just did everything she said. Even if it was bad for her. I dunno, that’s what I took from the book. But, she really was a sweet, beautiful but unbelievably sad woman, who just never experienced that true unconditional love she so desperately wanted. Good read, I’m now on Micheal Jackson’s bio.

The book I just began reading. Everybody knows a little about Marilyn Monroe, And everyone has an opinion about how she was raised, suffered and how she died. Some say she killed herself, some say The Kennedy’s killed her because “she knew too much.”

Being a fan, I always dug a little deeper, that’s where all the mental illness rumors began. This book, I’m about 100 pages in, is leaning heavily towards her having several mental breakdowns.

Albeit, I can’t imagine her being completely there when she sang to Happy Birthday to JFK. It just looked…like she was dying for attention. By no means am I comparing the two, but it does remind me when I was a teen and TRL was on? Remember that episode with Mariah Carey? How she was just so desperate? Parading in a T shirt and acting all over the top. Poor Carson Daly, all he could do is look at the camera guy and try to laugh.

I was aware her Monroe’s mother was mentally unstable, but right in the preface of this book, it tells us that most of her family was. What a burden, what a fear to constantly have with you. Maybe she did commit suicide.

I don’t think we will ever truly know, but I can’t say much yet…I just started the book. Don’t worry, I don’t do spoilers. But as of now, a great read. Sad. But good.
